Dewey Griffin Subaru

I'm Allen Meyer. I have been part of the Dewey Griffin family since 1996 and have recently become the Owner of Dewey Griffin Subaru. I attended the National Auto Dealers Association Dealer Academy Program in 2007 and enjoy expanding my knowledge of the automotive industry. I stay active in our community by working with local charity organizations such as the Whatcom Humane Society and Meals On Wheels. In my free time, I love going to Mariner and Seahawk games, fly fishing, working out and training my dog, Yukon. I also make a mean Caesar salad and love to travel.

I'm "Happy" Heath Warner. I have been in the automotive industry since 1986 and have been a Sales Manager at Dewey Griffin since 2007. My family and I have been part of the community for over 100 years. In my free time, I enjoy working on home improvement projects, photography and golf. I also enjoy fishing, hiking and skiing. It's my mission to make sure all our customers leave feeling good about their purchase experience.

My name is Keith Bockwoldt. I have been with Dewey Griffin since April 2012. I have been in the automotive industry since 1986. I have lived in this community for over 30 years and have loved every minute of it. I love fishing for salmon and halibut and pretty much any outdoor recreation. As a Sales Manager, it's my goal to make sure our customers are treated like part of our family.

My name is Tony Benavides. I was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia and at the age of 11 I moved to the United States. My parents moved here two years prior in pursuit of the American Dream. The beginning of my American life was spent in San Francisco, California. Soon after my family and I moved to Southern California where I attended high school and then continued my education at UCLA majoring in linguistics. My degree along with being able to speak English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, were very helpful tools when I was starting a career in real estate.

In 2001 I made the move to Bellingham to re-connect with my then 11-year-old son. When I first came to Bellingham I was working at a hotel along with working in real estate.

Dewey Griffin was the first and only dealership I have ever worked at. This job as given me the opportunity to return the kindness that I was given when I first came to this country, and I'm always proud to be apart of the Subaru family and everything we do for this community. Watching how this business has grown and changed has been an amazing experience. I am always grateful to Dewey Griffin Subaru for giving me the time and environment to be the best father I can be to my two sons, Schon and Dominic.

Moving to Bellingham was a phenomenal decision on my part. Not only have I been able to become a part of a community that I love but I've also created a wonderful life for myself and my family. My son Dominic is a graduate from Berklee music school, he's a jazz drummer. He also lives and teaches music in Sweden. My other son, Schon, heading to college soon, and yet he's on a very similar path as he shows a passion for the jazz piano.

I'm Sharon Chavira. I have been a member of the Dewey Griffin family since 2006. I have over 20 years of automotive experience and have lived in the community all my life. I am a Subaru-Certified Sales Consultant. When I am not at work, I enjoy drawing and art of any kind. I love horseback riding, spending time with my family (especially my amazing Grandbabies!) but above all, I LOVE being in auto sales. I like the challenge and most of all, meeting people and helping to keep America (and Canada!) rolling!

Hi, I'm Brian Smith. I am new to the Dewey Griffin Subaru family. I have lived in the Whatcom county for over 50 years. I've been in the in the automotive service and sales business for more than 20 years. I am excited to join the Dewey's team because of their focus on putting the customer first. When I'm not working, I enjoy golfing, gardening, home improvement and spending time with my wife and grandchildren. My family and I are proud supporters of the Whatcom Humane Society and are passionate about helping abandoned animals and the homeless in our community.

I’ve been proudly serving customers at Dewey Griffin Subaru for over 8 years, now as the Internet Sales Manager. With one of the top Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) ratings in the region, my mission is simple: provide an honest, forward-facing experience that puts people first (just like Dewey Griffin Subaru always has). .

Locally and family-owned, Dewey Griffin isn’t just where I work, it’s where I’ve built lasting relationships, found mentorship, and witnessed firsthand how a dealership can lead with integrity and give back to the community. Since 2006, Whatcom County has been my home. Before that, I grew up in Buffalo, NY, so I know a thing or two about grit, hustle, and taking care of people.

Through our partnership with organizations like Meals on Wheels, the Whatcom Humane Society, Blue Skies for Children, and countless local events like Dog Days of Summer and Tour de Whatcom, I’ve been honored to represent our brand and lend a hand. It’s not just about selling cars, it’s about showing up for the community that supports us.

Before Subaru, I studied music at WWU and spent years touring the country with acts like Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics and my own project, Willdabeast. I still perform when I can, and I run a globally syndicated independent record label focused on underground electronic and hip hop music.

Selling new and used vehicles to a wide range of clients has never felt like a job, it’s a service I believe in. Dewey Griffin took care of me and my family, and I’m proud to do the same for every customer I meet.

I'm Kathy Heuer. I have been in the automotive industry for 30 years and have recently moved to the Bellingham area from Woodinville. I am excited to be part of the Dewey Griffin Subaru family because of the opportunity to grow with the company. There are so many great things coming in the future and I want to be a part of it! I am so proud to work for a company that gives back to their community. When I am not working, I enjoy watching football and supporting our Seattle Seahawks! I also love jazzersize, hiking and exploring. Since I am new to the area, there's lots of exploring to do! I look forward to being part of the Dewey Griffin Subaru family, and the community, for a very long time to come.

My name is Guy Miller. I have lived in the community for over 20 years and have been a member of the Dewey Griffin team since 2009. I am certified by both GM and Subaru as a Sales Consultant and have obtained my PSADA certification in Finance and Insurance. I am a retired US Navy Lieutenant (NAS Whidbey Island), former A-6 Intruder aircrew veteran of 297 carrier landings over 2 deployments to the Middle East. I enjoy military aviation history, golfing and belong to an 8 and 9 ball Pool league. As a member of the business management team, it's my goal to make sure all of our customers have a pleasant purchase experience.

My name is Mark Townley. I have been part of the Dewey Griffin family since January of 1996 and part of the community for over 30 years. I spent 3 and a half years serving my country in the Navy during the Gulf War. I have GM and Subaru Warranty Administration certification, GM and Subaru Service Advisor certification and have served many functions in our service department. I am currently a Subaru Service Advisor and enjoy taking care of my customers. When I am not at work, I love to spend time outdoors and hanging out with my wife and our pets. I also love cooking and creating new recipes, going to concerts and going camping.

I am John Evans. I have lived in the Whatcom county area for 20+ years. I was a member of the US Navy for 7 years and am very proud to have served my country. I am a certified automotive technician but have spent the last 10 years using my experience as a technician to help my customers choose just the right vehicle for them. When I am not working, I like to spend my time fishing, hiking, bird watching and swimming. I am very happy to be part of the Dewey Griffin family and look forward to helping our clients have the best sales experience possible.

I'm Mike Duryee. I have over 40 years experience as a technician. I have been part of the Dewey Griffin family since since June of 1983. I have lived in the Bellingham area for over 30 years. I am fully ASE-certified and have earned the Senior Subaru Master Technician status. My hobbies are sailing, kayaking, climbing, camping and white river rafting. I have my Private Pilot's license and love spending time with my wife and our twin sons.

I'm Dan Shreve. I have recently joined the Dewey Griffin Subaru team. I am excited about joining the staff because it's a great opportunity to work with and learn from some great people in a very welcoming environment. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my wife, Maria and our son, Luke. We enjoy watching the Seahawks and visiting our amazing local parks. I love exploring the outdoors and am a supporter of the National Parks Foundation.

My name is Don Jenkins, but everyone calls me D.J. I have lived in this community for over 51 years. I am the Manager of the Parts Department and have been with Dewey Griffin since 1982. I have over 29 years of automotive experience. My certification includes Parts Pace Setter GM 1999-2011, Subaru Inventory Management 2002-2004, Hazardous Materials Training 2006, and extensive automotive excellence classes. I am the winner of the Subaru Gold Standard of Excellence award from 1996-2002, Silver award winner for 2005, and the Subaru Platinum Standard of Excellence award for 2004-2006.I am an avid golfer. I also enjoy staying active in our community by coaching and refereeing girl's and boy's basketball, wood-working, bowling, bike riding.
